Ayase If (あやせ if, Ayase if), aka Ayase route (あやせルート, Ayase Rūto), is an alternative ending of Oreimo, in which Kyousuke Kousaka ends up with Ayase Aragaki, instead of Kirino Kousaka in the canon ending.
The first appearance of the alternative ending is from the PSP game Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable, and its sequel, Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable ga Tsuzuku Wake ga Nai. In May 2017, Tsukasa Fushimi announced that he was writing if series of Oreimo. Volume 13, the first publication of the series, has released in August 2019, in which Ayase is the main heroine.
In June 2020, Fushimi anounced a manga adaptation of Ayase if is in serialization in his epilogue of Volume 14. The first volume of the manga adaptation released in March 2021.

Trivia[]
- In the PSP game, Ayase's route has the most bad endings out of all routes and her bad endings are also the most violent.
- In the PSP game and it's sequel, Ayase could become a yandere if you get the bad route/bad ending, which either result death or serious injury. (Depending on which bad ending the player got.)
- Out of all the characters in the game, only Ayase's route has endings that involves murder.
- It is also noted that most of the murder involves a sharp object. She also murdered Kyousuke by just lunging at him or using a hard object to hit his head.
- It is unknown whether this is constantly true but Ayase carries a sharp object with her.
